Blogging here and blogging there

As a professional member and author of The Word Guild, I post once a month for the Canadian Authors Who are Christian, a blog maintained by The Word Guild.

It seems that between blogging here and there, editing for clients and teaching and critiquing students’ writing, that I post less frequently here, at least at the present time. Therefore, today I will  promote the Authors blog on The Word Guild site.

My first post on that blog began this summer with an account of apple picking, thereafter in September and October, on my experience at my hometown fair this year, when I was promoting my own book, Once Upon a Sandbox, then in October, on teaching adults in a community centre.

On that site you can read diverse authors, and though we are all Christian, we write on a wide variety of topics and genres, from the everyday to issues of global concern.  We write mysteries, devotionals, children’s stories, young adult,  journalism and poetry, among other genres. Check out our voices, then bookmark this site and come back later. You’ll find voices you appreciate and want to learn more about them.

Writer Teaching Others—Carolyn Wilker

One of my jobs is teaching adults to write. This writing class began in the fall of 2009, after writing a proposal and getting approval from the recreation coordinator at the senior’s centre. … Read more here.

Find my book at Words Worth and Chapters Waterloo, both in Waterloo, ON; Fanfare Books, Stratford; Merrifield’s Book Shop in Woodstock, ON; and UpperCase Books, New Hamburg, ON. I will be in Woodstock at Merrifield’s Book Shop on November 19th from 10-11 am, signing books.

On December 4th, I’ve  been invited as guest author for Robin Livingston‘s launch of Eyes Wide Open… When Life Happens you want to see it coming. This event will take place at the Evergreen Seniors Community Centre, Room 4,  683 Woolwich Street in Guelph Ontario from 2-4 pm.
