The UpTown Gallery, Waterloo Town Square, Waterloo, Ontario

Earlier this year, the Uptown Gallery moved to a new location in the Waterloo Town Square mall. The gallery showcases a new collection every two months, although there is work by other artists  in its collection at any time. The artists hosted a grand re-opening on July 22nd after much work to decorate their new store.

Display shelves show off a variety of art.

See the acrylic painting (centre right) entitled Once Upon a  Sandbox, by Deborah Pryce. Deborah designed the cover art for my book, Once Upon a Sandbox, that was published in June. The collection shown has since changed to feature other artists.

Watch for another new showing in November, featuring Laurie and Ted Spieker, Deborah Pryce, and  Supria Karmakar  from the Uptown Gallery collective. This show, entitled, Sparkle and Shine, runs from November 18to to January 14th. The opening reception will be held on November 25th. For more information on this showing, the Gallery and cooperative, go here.
