Saturday Snapshots–Elvis and Buddy Holly

February 18, 2012 at 2:59 pm 15 comments

A friend and fellow Toastmaster hosted a gathering of family, friends and neighbours (2010) and hired Elvis and Buddy Holly to entertain us.  Above, Elvis Presley impersonator (US). Below, Buddy Holly impersonator (Canada) and his assistant from the audience.  We had a great time seeing them perform and enjoying the company of friends and a picnic supper.

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you.  Go here to see more photos  At Home With Books

The Elvis one looks pretty good. I hope the music was good.

Both performers did a fabulous job. The fellow playing Holly invited someone to come up and play the guitar as a back-up player. That was fun. I think it was heavy as the young gal had to support it with her knee. I bet that was a highlight of her day.

He looked like the pictures I recognize and his voice was so smooth. He was amazing.

A yard full of people listening, good performers and food. All good!

We were smiling for sure. Elvis picked my friend out in the audience and held her hand and sang to her. She blushed so much but she liked it. Just a part of his performance.

We had a blast and the little girl who played Holly’s guitar will remember that day for a very long time, I think.

Thanks for stopping by. We had a wonderful time.
I wasn’t able to comment on your blog. Captcha doesn’t like my comments. Lucky you with those beautiful roses and treats. Twice blessed.
