After this brief post…

I had planned to continue the blog of my tour of Halifax while I was there for the Editors` conference, but I cannot ignore  the challenges in Calgary and Edmonton areas with the flooding that`s happening there. Instead I offer prayers and encouragement to those who are dealing with floodwaters or have had to leave their home..

Thanks to the email of a fellow editor in Calgary, I offer this link to those who require updates on the emergency there:

http://newsroom.calgary.ca/pr/calgary/state-of-local-emergency-update-246972.aspx

I will return to my Halifax tour in a few days. Meanwhile may people act to stay safe and firefighters and all those who work to protect others be protected in their duties.
